![]() It would be nice to know a way to find my own way around this. I'm sick of asking, going back and forth and 's all just annoying. ![]() This particular hotel chain I am visiting tomorrow hooked me up the last time I asked on Twitter.but for one reason or another, I was still charged. Secondly, I know I can just ASK the hotel, and I have done with much success in the past. ![]() I would rather not, because I pay for my data plan (not unlimited) and it also isn't fast enough to stream videos (YouTube, porn, etc) or download anything worthwhile. I could tether and create a wifi-hotspot with my phone's 4G connection. Once you agree to the terms and enter your room number, you're allowed to browse off that page.īefore you so graciously lend me your advice, I do realize there are other options. You can choose to pay $14.95 for high-speed, $12.95 for regular speed, etc. You probably know what I mean, but just to describe how it works: typically once you open your browser in the room, you are immediately routed to a hotel home page, a log-in screen. The typical hotel chains I visit are 3.5 or 4 star hotels that offer free WiFi in the lobbies, but they charge you to use the same service in your room.
